Helping the Homeless
A candy donation to your local homeless shelter or food bank can put a smile on someone’s
face.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities
The Ronald McDonald House helps keep severely ill kids and their parents together during treatment.
After Halloween, most locations accept donations of unopened candy for the families being served.
You can search for your local chapter on the website, but call ahead to find out the rules for dropping off candy.
Supporting Our Troops
Operation Gratitude Halloween Giveback sends care packages to U.S. troops stationed overseas and first responders stateside.
They include a handful of candy in every Care Package they send. Groups and individuals are welcome to organize drives for candy or send in donations on their own.
All donations must be received by Nov. 9.
This year, volunteers are also collecting Wish List items to include in their Care Packages:
Floss
Travel size toothpaste
Pens and mechanical pencils for Deployed Troops to write letters to their loved ones at home for the holidays.
A candy collection program in which local businesses agree to accept excess
Halloween candy from kids in exchange for goodies.
Please note that each location has different collection days and times. As such, we highly recommend that you call your preferred drop-off site before delivering your candy to ensure they have not already finished their collection!
Operation Shoebox embraces a practical mission of providing hands-on support for our troops deployed overseas and returning home.
It is the mission of Operation Shoebox to meet the needs of every hero with dignity and appreciation. Operation Shoebox volunteers love packing boxes year-round with candy, but especially for the holidays.
Collect bags of individually wrapped candies; heat-resistant candy is best in warm seasons.
Any Soldier lets you to decide which branch of the armed forces you'd like to support.
You send the package yourself to an address you request, so the donation feels much more personal.
Including a letter is another way to make your gift meaningful. If you address the package "Attn: Any Soldier" they put your letters and packages into the hands of soldiers who don't get much or any mail first.
