When I was a kid my mom introduced my brother and me to the wonderful world of Hollywood!
We took acting classes, we had headshots taken, we signed with a few talent agents, we went out on auditions, callbacks, and even got cast a few times for print ads, voice-overs, commercials, TV shows like Webster, Matt Houston, Charles in Charge, Doogie Howser, M.D., and movies like The Naked Gun, Scrooged, Road House and more. We met many amazing people and have some great memories!!
Above is a picture of Tori Spelling and me, we worked together twice when we were kids, once on Fantasy Island and then again on Troop Beverly Hills.
Acting can be fun, and pretending to be someone else is something we have all done! Kids especially love to pretend! Did you know that it can help boost a child’s self-confidence?
It can help your child learn to express themself. Even some extremely shy children will open up to explore their creative side and partake in performing.
Once they are able to perform they feel proud of their accomplishment, and this pride can lead to greater confidence in all they do. Learning improv in an acting class allows children to use their critical thinking skills and shows them how they can perform under pressure.
There are so many ways to get involved in the art of acting. You can just explore the techniques in the privacy of your own home, you can take acting classes, you can join a local theater group, you can even take your act to Hollywood and get a talent agent!

The Kids' Acting Class -
Acting Classes for Kids, Tweens & Teens
Taught by some of today’s most successful and sought-after actors, directors, writers, and producers.
The Kids Acting Class for elementary through high school aged kids is a fun and creative way to explore the different dynamics of acting.
Improv games and “thinking on your feet” using imagination and creativity, defining a range of scenarios, character development, exploring and acting out different personality traits.
Scene study, from Disney to Spielberg, selecting age-appropriate scenes from current tv shows and movies.
Commercial techniques, using real commercial copy, how to deliver the lines, how to capture body language and facial expressions… making use of the “quiet space”.
Working the room and interview techniques, giving insight into what casters and producers want to see in an audition.
These skills are not only geared toward show business but will provide valuable communicative skills, help develop self-confidence in any situation, give the tools needed to speak with intent and to “think on your feet”.
Understanding how “the business” works is critical to creating a pathway to success and joy.
