The mission of the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum is to foster family and youth-inspired learning by creating experiences to explore ourselves, our valley, our world and beyond. The museum’s exhibit and program-based “please touch” atmosphere engenders the best in self-discovery for children and their families.
We are open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM (4:00 PM on Sunday) and offer Makerspace activities Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The museum is a great place for children and their caregivers to explore the world of learning through play, arts and crafts and STEAM based activities.
