Join Grays Harbor Historical Seaport on the high seas by participating in the renowned maritime heritage field trip, Voyage of Explorers, on the Lady Washington. This three-hour educational field trip is Common Core aligned for Grades 4 – 6 (but all ages welcome). Students will rotate between the 3 learning stations:

TRADE Students discover the history of commerce and exchange between Euro-American, Native American and Chinese communities and learn how language and cultural differences affected these trade relationships.

NAVIGATION Students learn how tall ship sailors use specialized instruments and physical labor to complete complex tasks and reach their intended destination.

LIFE OF A SAILOR Students examine how material objects, oral traditions, and historical accounts can tell us about who tall ship sailors were and what their lives were like onboard during a long voyage.

** Please note everyone with a heartbeat needs a ticket - this includes babies.

** There are no refunds within 2 weeks of the trip.
