Programs at the Autry Museum begin promptly at 11:15 a.m. and last 55 minutes. After the program everyone is free to explore the rest of the museum at their leisure. The museum is open until 4 pm.
Please be sure to choose which program your children are interested in attending. We must have a minimum of 15 children in each program and a maximum of 30. Parking is free. Animals of the West Grades: K-2nd Grades Your students will meet some of the animals that call the West home. Encounter a Texas Longhorn steer and a bison in our permanent galleries, and learn about the important role animals played in Western cultures. EUREKA! THE CALIFORNIA GOLD RUSH Grades: 3rd-6th Grades In this simulation, students will work in small groups to learn about the experiences and challenges that miners of different backgrounds encountered in their quest to strike it rich during the California gold rush of the late 1840s through the early 1850s.
