1 Tram Way, Palm Springs 92262
The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway—the world’s largest rotating tram car—travels over two-and-one-half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, transporting riders to the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park.
We will travel as a group, during the approximately ten-minute journey while the tram cars rotate slowly, offering picturesque and spectacular vistas of the valley floor below. Once you reach the Mountain Station—elevation 8,516 feet—we will enjoy a cafeteria-style lunch together (dessert included) at the Pines Café. After lunch you are free to explore observation decks, the natural history museum and gift shop, two documentary theaters and over 50 miles of hiking trails.
Keep in mind the weather at the Mountain Station is typically 30-40 degrees cooler than on the desert floor. The Valley Station, the tramcar and the Mountain Station are all fully wheelchair accessible and A.D.A. compliant.
Parking is $5. To contact the organizer Janet Jackson: 310-872-9971
