Join us on January 12th, 2017 at 10:30AM for a field trip to the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts for a performance from the Lula Washington Dance Theatre.
Los Angeles-based company Lula Washington Dance Theatre celebrates the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. This program is performed with Marcus L. Miller and his Freedom Jazz Movement band. Stylistically, Ms. Washington fuses African and Afro-Haitian dance. She also incorporates the dance styles of gospel church, classical ballet, modern, street, theatrical, hip hop, while drawing from various ideas and issues.
