Earthroots Homeschool Field Class is a nature connection program meeting weekly at various outdoor locations throughout Orange County. Classes may include: hiking, tidepooling, geology, ecology, fishing, tracking animals, watershed health, rainwater harvesting, native plant identification, gardening, journaling, cooking in a sun oven and traditional survival skills like shelter building and fire by friction. Participants develop confidence in nature, improve large and fine motor skills, increase their social skills and gain emotional maturity.
