About the Show: Meet Larry: an office worker who’s got no time for fun. Everything in Larry’s life is in its place – until a mysterious suitcase appears at his door one day, beckoning him on an adventure. Packed with wit and whimsy, The Secret Life of Suitcases brings audiences on a wild journey as Larry’s routine world gets turned upside down by a fantastical flying suitcase that takes him further than he ever thought possible. This funny and enchanting puppet show, created by one of Scotland’s leading puppetry companies, explores the thrill of adventure and the joy of coming home again.

Recommended for grades 1-3.

Preview Study Guide: FAQs for Attending a Performance Information about the SAMUELI THEATRE: MAP & PARKING: Our Performance is in the SAMUELI THEATRE. The parking structure closest to that theatre is the Plaza Tower Parking Structure. You can pay a flat rate of $10 per car upon entering the parking structure. This is better than paying the minute rate of $1.50 per 15 minutes. Please note that there are a few parking structures to park in, and most are $10, cash only, if paid up front. I would not recommend parking in the South Coast Plaza, they might ticket your car. I have heard from families that they park near the Unity walking bridge, on the South Coast Plaza side, where it crosses the street between the South Coast Plaza and Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Some families have said that parking close to the bridge has not resulted in them getting a parking ticket, since there is so much foot traffic there. But we do not recommend that and remind you that you are taking risk if you choose to park there. Map of the Center, please note this performance is in the SAMUELI THEATRE, which is located at the bottom right side of the map, off Anton St., next to the Plaza Tower Parking Structure:

1) Field trip space is always limited, signing up for a trip is your promise to us and other families that you will attend.

3) If you are planning to pay for the field trip using Instructional Funds please know that they can only be used to pay for up to two (2) adult chaperone tickets max, per Inspire family.
