Murray Family Farms offers a unique experience as one of the leading locations for educational and agricultural field trips in Kern County and beyond. Children of all ages are RIPE to enjoy an outdoor learning environment filled with fun, information, and new discoveries. Learn about the life cycle of a butterfly in our beautiful butterfly house or the everyday life of an ant in the Animal Garden, a playground/petting zoo that merges fun with learning in the best ways. The right food choices and the love of outdoor activities are the foundation for healthy living. Our educational hayride will foster a love of the outdoors, and teach students how to pick fruit that’s healthy AND delicious!

The Fall Family Fun Fest Includes: Corn maze, hay ride, u-pick pumpkin, bounce pillow, and animal garden as time permits. *** Check-in by 9:15. We will line up for our tour at 9:25. If you are late, you may miss parts of the tour as we cannot wait for anyone. Only sign up if you intend to come, as space is limited. The check in process: When you arrive, you will enter via “RV/BUSES” entrance on the far right, past the Chevron gas station, and park in the dirt parking lot. We will meet in the picnic area next to the big red barn. You will check in with the tour director and be assigned a tour group. A few tips for the day of the trip: -Please make sure that students use the restroom before arriving, as any delay will cause you to miss out on part of the tour. -Each tour guide can take a maximum amount of 50 people, so groups must be organized and ready to go ahead of time. -We will be picking pumpkins so it’s a good idea to bring a permanent marker to write the students names on the pumpkins. -Lunch tables are on a first come, first serve basis. You are welcome to bring or purchase lunch at the farm if you choose.
