It is never too early to expose your students to the brilliance of the Bard of Avon and what better way then FREE Shakespeare summer performances.


We have compiled a list of a few recommended professional productions throughout Southern, Central, and Northern California. We have also included links to some free study guides and engaging enrichment activities for the home educator as a companion to the plays listed.

  • Want the inside scoop on the story you’re about to see? Join us for a conversation about the themes, stylistic elements, and contemporary aspects of the evening’s play. Learn about the process we took to get to the production you'll be experiencing.

MYSTICAL CREATURE NIGHT - Friday, July 13, Starting at 6:30 PM

  • Be a part of our fairy kingdom for a night of cosplay and costumes! All magical creatures are welcome and all ages are encouraged to dress up!

FAMILY FAIRY NIGHT - July 15, July 21, August 18th, August 26th, Starting at 5:00 PM

  • Bring the kids for a night of dress up and fun! Costumes are encouraged! And there will be magical activities. Check in at the Pop Up Lobby to "fairy up!"

PLAYERS IN THE PARK - July 15th, July 21st, August 18th, August 26th, Starting at 5:00 PM

  • Join us for a high-energy, interactive workshop taught with teaching artists you’ll see in A Midsummer Night’s Dream! Perfect for families, these workshops give insight into the characters, plot, and artistic choices of the evening’s play.

  • Open to learners of all ages.

  • Reservations recommended.

STAGESIDE CHATS

  • Spend 20 minutes stage-side before the show for informal, open-forum chit-chats with directors, designers, and members of the production and/or artistic team. Most Saturdays (except for 6/18) approximately 1 hour prior to curtain.
