Do you have a student entering the fourth grade this school year?
My middle son, Hudson, was in fourth grade last school year and we were so excited that he was eligible for the Every Kid in a Park program. It is a federal public lands youth initiative to get all 4th graders and their families to experience the places that are home to our country’s natural treasures, rich history, and vibrant culture.
If you have a fourth grader all you have to do is visit the program’s website to sign-up for your free family pass!
Here you can browse the National Parks we have here in our beautiful USA and if you just can not travel outside of California there are four pages of amazing destinations your family can visit for free right here in our Golden State!! Places like, Alcatraz, Channel Islands, Golden Gate Recreation Area, and of course YOSEMITE!

Hudson’s favorite activity and resource was the National Park Service’s Junior Ranger Program, where many of the National Parks offer a special in park program for youth to complete a series of activities during their park visit, share their answers with a park ranger, and receive an official Junior Ranger patch and Junior Ranger certificate.
Junior Rangers are typically between the ages of 5 to 13, although people of all ages can participate.
