Explore our underground rock-cut tomb and learn more about the funerary beliefs of the ancient Egyptians.

Modeled after several rock-cut tombs found at the Beni Hasan cemetery site in Middle Egypt, this tomb was constructed to show a style found during the Middle Kingdom (2066 – 1650 BCE). Beni Hasan was a popular burial site during the Middle Kingdom with Nomarchs – provincial administration officials. This area houses over th...

It was great seeing old friends again and seeing people I've so far only had the pleasure of talking with. The weather was pleasant, and lots of pumpkins, animals, kids having fun. Thank you all for coming!

Thank you to all who made it to our Painted Pony Farm apple picking trip.  I enjoyed meeting you.  Next year hopefully we will have more apples to choose from.  I think everyone loved seeing the animals.  We got to hold baby chicks, baby rabbits and pet ponies, goats and baby piglets.  It was perfect weather and a delightful time.  Thank you also, Pam and Steve Colvard for sharing your farm with our Inspire families....

Rubel Castle in Glendora

Field Trip Coordinator Heidi da Silva led this tour of Rubel Castle. Yes, it’s a castle, complete with a tower and a drawbridge, horses, chickens, dogs and cats, all in the middle of a very nice quiet neighborhood.  Many of those on the tour who live in the neighborhood never even knew it existed.

The castle was established in Glendora, California, by Michael Clarke Rubel, and is currently owned an...

The Reptile Expo Supershow on August 12th was an interesting trip!  I have never seen so many reptiles in my life.  There was an African Bull Frog wider than my hand.  He kind of reminded me of the ones in the Harry Potter movies; very cool.  My favorite reptiles were the baby tortoises; by far, the cutest.  A close second would be the chameleons.  For those who couldn't come please enjoy the pictures....

It was a lovely, slightly over cast day at Arroyo Verde for our meet and greet on June 21, 2017.  Finally, I am able to meet people in person I've been emailing for the past couple of months.  The Guided Curiosity team was on hand to help little ones make actual glow in the dark dragonflies.  Sorry, our photographer was not able to hand people their ID.  He will be mailing them to you all at no extra charge....

It was an eye-opening, informative trip to the Del Norte Recycling Center.  We all learned lots of interesting information and the children asked great questions.

The state of California is working to help Mexico in their recycling endeavors.  Soon Southern California will implement laws similar to those in San Francisco with regards to food scraps.  Food will have to be composted.  My family started our worm bin this...

The Autry museum was co-founded by Jackie and Gene Autry and Joanne and Monte Hale.  It is located at 4700 Western Heritage way, Griffith Park, Los Angeles, California 90027.  Walt Disney imagineering designed the museum's six permanent exhibition areas, and their professionalism shows. Prepare to be surprised by the museum's size and sophistication.  The Autry museum is right across from the LA Zoo, which can be the second st...

I had a blast on our field trip to the Moxi museum in Santa Barbara today. Their philosophy is to inspire you to touch and explore the world around you.  The minute you walk in, there is a ginormous guitar that you can actually touch the frets and strum.  You can then go around the other side and feel what it would be like to sit inside of a guitar and peer out the hole where the sound comes out.  Talk about feeling the music...

I've planned a trip to the Getty Center on September 21st.  Please be sure to make a reservation only if you definitely can make it.  Although free, we are limited to how many we can have - as the museum is not open to the general public this day.  Tickets go on sale July 24. https://www.inspirationstationics.com/single-post/2017/06/22/The-J-Paul-Getty-Museum-Tickets-Available-724
